Hello everyone, my new Victus bought yesterday has a little issue: That infamous yellow tint. Screen is yellowish and this becomes apparent especially when the background is white. I am pretty much sure that this has nothing to do with hardware; a simple setting about display would resolve the issue because it happened with my previous laptop as well. That was from another brand and the support app they provided allowed me to solve the issue with one click. However HP Support app didn't work. Windows' own settings and calibration did not work. None of the solutions I have found on internet from every single source you can think of, like youtube, reddit, forums etc., has worked. If you can help me getting rid of this annoying yellow tint, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @CenkSyl,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating dealing with the yellow tint issue on your Victus gaming laptop. If standard calibration and settings adjustments haven't worked, here are a few additional steps you can try.
Check Color Temperature Settings in Windows
- Open Settings > System > Display.
- Click on Advanced display settings and look for the Color calibration option. Follow the on-screen instructions to recalibrate the display.
Update Display Drivers
- Go to Device Manager (right-click on the Start menu and select it).
- Expand Display adapters, right-click on your graphics card, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Adjust Color Settings in the Graphics Control Panel
- If you have NVIDIA or AMD graphics, open their respective control panels:
- NVIDIA Control Panel: Right-click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Go to Display > Adjust desktop color settings and adjust the Color Temperature.
- AMD Radeon Settings: Right-click on the desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings. Go to Display and adjust the Color Temperature.
Check for HP Software Updates
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your laptop model. Download and install any available updates, especially for display-related software.
Use an External Monitor
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the issue is not present on the external monitor, it could indicate a problem specific to your laptop's display hardware.
Reset Windows
- As a last resort, consider doing a system reset or clean installation of Windows to ensure no software conflicts are causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
