There is a yellowish hue at the bottom of my screen near the fans. It`s not that noticeable but I`m afraid that it might grow bigger. I think the problem is caused by the heat from the fan. Is there any way I can fix this?Yellowish hue near above the HP logo

Hi @aguyman,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like the yellowish hue near the bottom of your HP Laptop PC 15s screen could indeed be caused by heat from the fan or potential pressure on the display. Here are some steps you can take to address this issue.
Ensure Proper Ventilation
- Use a Cooling Pad: Make sure the fans have enough ventilation. You can use a laptop cooling pad to reduce the heat buildup from the bottom, which may be causing the discoloration.
- Keep the Fans Clean: Dust buildup can block airflow and cause excess heat. Clean the laptop's air vents and fan using compressed air to ensure efficient cooling.
Check for External Pressure
- Sometimes, pressure near the screen area (like from resting hands or carrying the laptop tightly) can cause discoloration. Make sure nothing is pressing against that part of the screen.
Monitor Temperatures
- You can use software like HWMonitor or Core Temp to check if your laptop's CPU and GPU are running unusually hot. High temperatures can cause damage over time.
Adjust Display Settings
- Check for Display Drivers Updates: Ensure your display drivers are updated to the latest version.
- Calibration: Adjust the screen brightness or try calibrating your display settings, though this won't fix hardware issues but may help with the appearance temporarily.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
