HP ZBook 17 G3 Mobile Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using Google Earth pro on a 32 inch monitor and display settings are critical in order to see terrain contours.

My Zbook changes the gamma and RGB settings by itself every time the computer starts up or wakes up, resulting in a washed out display so bad that I cannot see the contours. I can rectify this by using the color calibrate command, which requires a small reduction in gamma setting and resetting the RGB sliders from 100% to about 30% but its a pain in the neck to do this ten or more times a day.

Is there a fix for this problem which seems to be common? :Crying:

Quitt by accident I found that if you used the Nvidia control panel (access it by right clicking on the desktop) to change the display settings and checked the box that says "Use Nvidia Settings" and and then save the settings they no longer change by themselves.

This is not as easy to use as the Calibrate Color function, but it solved my problem after fiddling with it for half an hour.

I should add that the HP Support Assistant reports that the OS and all drivers are up to date
