HP Spectre- 13-4127TU
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I seem to have lost the zoom function completely on my laptop. For some reason its locked at 48% and I can't change this using my mouse or touch? The zoom bar next to the clock/calendar down at the right side of the screen is greyed out too so I can't use that to zoom in or out. I did not disable the zoom function in the first place, it just literally went from working one day to the next. How can i fix this?

Hey there! @June06, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you have zoom issues on your laptop.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

As you mentioned the zoom is stuck at 48% and you are unable to change the zoom on your PC to 100%.

Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.

Try few steps recommended below to enable zoom on your PC.

1. Go to your homepage, and close all other open tabs.
2. Open the page menu - set the zoom to 100% CTRL 0.
3. Try going to Tools (Alt-X)  >  Internet Options > Advanced  Under Accessibility put in a check for reset zoom for new windows and tabs.

You can try to open the Control Panel. Open Mouse. Select the click pad Settings tab and click on the Clickpad settings button. See if you can enable the "pinch zoom" by putting the check mark. Click Apply and OK to save the setting.

Or

To open Magnifier on a keyboard, press the Windows logo key‌  and + (plus sign). To open it by touch or mouse, go to Start then Settings > Ease of Access > Magnifier, and then move the slider under Magnifier to turn it on.

If the issue still persists try uninstalling the graphics driver from device manager and install the latest graphics drivers and BIOS from the link below.

You can update the graphics driver using this link.

Update BIOS using this link.

Also, update other drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.
