HP Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have owned an HP laptop 💻 for 6 months now, but since July 12, 2023, something strange has happened to my computer screen. Initially, I was using my laptop normally until a scratch in the form of an odd spot appeared on the screen, covering more than half of its height. This was very frustrating and annoying 😡, as I didn't do anything to the screen like scratching it with a sharp metal object, throwing it forcefully, hitting it with my hand, or pressing the screen too hard, I didn't do such these things.. I simply used it normally and handed it to my older brother so he could see something in a special project we were working on online, When he returned it to me, the strange scratch was there later, and it kept getting larger and larger over the next few weeks. This worried me, and I suspected there might be a strange issue with the LCD screen causing this.

To further prove this, the scratch exhibits the following characteristics when I move from one position to another:

As shown in picture :

1. in the image "1" ,the spot is clearly visible when viewing the laptop from the right side.

2. in the image "2", you can observe that the large spot becomes invisible and disappears when viewed from the front angle (center view). In other words, when looking at the laptop screen from the front, you won't notice any spot as if the lighting inside the screen reflects the spot to make it invisible from certain viewing angles, even the camera lens. Picture..

3. in the image "3" ,demonstrates the same thing as picture "1" When you move to the left, you can clearly see the spot.

(Note 1: The spot is not visible when I turn off the device.)

(Note 2: The spot everyday, it getting higher and higher without reason.)

Therefore, I would like to ask you guys, if you have any methods for me to remove the spot myself and repair the laptop screen. I want to emphasize that I didn't do anything to cause the scratch; it appeared without any apparent reason.

If you don't have any advice or methods, please let me know if I should take it to a computer technician and expert dude in my city to repair the monitor / screen. Is it just a defect in the LCD that can be fixed without replacing the entire screen ? Or, unfortunately, do I need to replace the whole screen or LCD ?

and btw, how much does a medium-sized laptop screen typically cost (in $..) 🛒💸?.
