Hi @NinjaKitty1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with your camera.

The error code 0xA00F4244 with the message “No cameras are attached” typically indicates a problem with the camera driver, hardware, or settings on your HP Spectre x360 Convertible running Windows 11. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

1. Check Camera Hardware

Ensure the Camera is Enabled:

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand the Imaging Devices section and look for your camera. If it's not listed, it might be disabled or not detected.

Check Physical Connections:

  • For convertible laptops, ensure that the camera module is not physically obstructed or damaged.

2. Update or Reinstall Camera Drivers

Update Camera Driver:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on your camera device under Imaging Devices (or Sound, video, and game controllers) and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

Reinstall Camera Driver:

  • Right-click on the camera device and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver upon restart.
  • Alternatively, download the latest driver from the HP Support website and install it.

3. Check Privacy Settings

Open Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings (Win + I).
  • Select Privacy & Security > Camera.

Ensure Camera Access is Allowed:

  • Make sure Camera access is turned on.
  • Ensure that Let apps access your camera is turned on.
  • Check that the specific apps you're trying to use the camera with have permission to access it.

4. Run Windows Troubleshooter

Open Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings (Win + I).
  • Select System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.

Run the Troubleshooter:

  • Find and run the Camera troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix any issues.

5. Check for Windows Updates

  1. Update Windows:
    • Go to Settings (Win + I).
    • Select Windows Update and click Check for updates.
    • Install any available updates and restart your laptop.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
