Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
After reading your post, I did go through the Product Specifications of your product and found that your computer supports: 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C™ with Thunderbolt™ 3 (40 Gb/s signaling rate, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge); 3 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A; 1 RJ-45; 1 headphone/microphone combo; 1 microphone; 1 AC smart pin; 1 Mini DisplayPort™
DisplayPort has a maximum bandwidth, which enhance much greater resolution and frame rate.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
