Hi @mattyj0914,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues with the color and brightness of videos on your HP 15s laptop compared to other devices. There could be several reasons for this, and I'll provide you with some general suggestions to improve the video quality.
Display Settings:
- Check your laptop's display settings to ensure that the color profile and brightness are configured correctly. You can usually find these settings in the system preferences or display settings.
Graphics Drivers:
- Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Visit the official HP website or use HP's support assistant to check for and install the latest graphics drivers.
Video Player Settings:
- If you are using a specific video player, check its settings for any options related to color, brightness, or video enhancement. Adjust these settings to see if it makes a difference.
Windows Color Calibration:
- Use the built-in Windows color calibration tool to adjust color settings. You can find this in the control panel under "Color Management."
External Display Devices:
- If you are using an external monitor or TV, ensure that its settings are optimized for video playback. Adjust the color and brightness settings on the external display if needed.
Update Operating System:
- Make sure your operating system is up to date. Updates can sometimes include improvements to display drivers and overall system performance.
If the issue persists after trying these suggestions, it's possible that there may be a hardware-related problem or specific configurations on the HP 15s that need attention.
Additionally, if you have specific requirements related to gaming and video playback, it's worth checking if there are any specific gaming or video optimization settings in your laptop's control panel or HP's proprietary software.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
