Hello, I have a HP ZBook Power 15,6″ G10 IDS (model: 7C3M0AV) and want to connect two external monitors (Iiyama ProLite XUB2792HSN-B5) - I'd love to go for USB-C docking station but unsure which one to choose? I've tried with HP Universal Dock G5 120W (HSN-IX02) but it did not pass the video signal - tried both HDMI and DP - neither was detected by monitors - tried under Windows 10 and Ubuntu LTE 22.04. USB devices connected to USB dock were recognized and working correctly. It was also keeping laptop's power at 80% although but have seen message about low power being delivered. Decided to return that Dock and look for better and hence my question.
I have seen similar question with suggestion to go for USB-A to HDMI cable, but would prefer to make use of USB-C and limit my number of cables around laptop.
Looking forward to get help, thank You!

Machine has
Left side:
1 RJ-45; 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 HDMI 2.1; 1 nano security lock slot ;
Right side:
1 power connector; 1 headphone/microphone combo; 1 Thunderbolt™ 4 with USB4 Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4); 2SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate (charging).
You can use the following docks (as mentioned on page 24 of its manual)
- HP USB-C/A Universal Dock (with cable) part # L64087-001
- HP TB 280 W G4 Dock (with combo cable) part # M97106-001
You can also daisy chain 2 monitors using Thunderbolt™ 4 dock w/o dock.
Regards.

Ouch, those Docks are expensive - need to reconsider other options since this is not a computer I own.
I tried to use USB-C Thunberdbolt 4 cable (McDodo CA-2990 a 1.2m Thunderbolt 4.0 40Gbps PD 3.1 240W capable cable) but it didn't work - monitors didn't detect display signal (cable supports HBR3 mode) - do You know what could be the reason ? What would be the right Thunderbolt cable? Which technology it must support for this laptop-monitor to work and able to chain display?
