Hi to all,

Guys can you join this page on FB and post pictures of your broken screens- https://www.facebook.com/HP-Spectre-360-1098666613525965/

From reading through the comments I see we are all suffering the same problem with identicall consquencess, them being screen cracks from left to right, bottom to top...

Lets get our pics in one place and try to draw atention to our problem.

I have now the same dilemma even if I pay for a replacement of the touch screen I am suspecting the new one will brake also in a few days....

I bought this HP Spectre 6 weeks ago for $1,400. I used it in my home office last night, closed it and went to bed. Today I opened it and, lo and behold, I saw a crack on the bottom right of the screen. I was scratching my head wondering how on earth it happened, as no one else had access to it last night. I called HP and they told me I had to pay $300 to get the screen replaced. That's when I searched online to see if anyone else had a similar issue, and discovered that yes, a multitude of others have! There is clearly a defect in the laptop why so many people have had similar experiences. A big rip-off! This laptop is now going to cost me almost $2,000 because of something outside of my control. What guarantee will I have that the screen will not simply crack by itself again?

I just posted a picture of the cracked screen on the FaceBook page at: https://www.facebook.com/HP-Spectre-360-1098666613525965/. Please everyone, post your pictures.

What recourse do we have? A class-action complaint?

This is the first time I have bought an HP laptop, and it's going to be the last because of the company's response. Next time I will stick with my Dell; never had any issue that they never fixed!

The waranty will not cover it, but you should be able to talk to someone from HP and figure out how to send it to them to get it fixed.

Hi, I am amused that the name cracked and Mad was already taken.  I have a spectre360 that got only light use and never left my desk.  It is less than 6 months old and I opened it one day to find the screen cracked.  Started around the center near the camera.  I have spent at least 4-6 hours on the phone with support, one of which even admitted that they would refuse to repair and that is what their standard line is to give to customers.  They asked me to send it it in for "evaluation" and as per their standard procedure they deny these cracked screen claims.  The first call I was offered a 20% discount and a lower price should I agree to pay at the first offer.  As I went through several claims escalations they upped the discount but the price jumped also.  $425.39 was they price they gave me to repair with a 50% discount.

My work is based on my integrity and reputation.  I would never treat my customers this way.  I was basically told I was wrong and that something forceably cracked this screen.  I was called a liar (in essence) and they never heard of this problem before, that these screens do not break by merely opening.  YES THEY DO!

Well HP do you read your own forums?  I can honestly say I will advise everyone against purchasing an HP product, of any sort.   They should be ashamed of themselves and either stand by their products or go out of buisiness, this product belongs in the trash can.

Add me to the list.

Bought the laptop in late February, got a chipped edge + cracked screen on Jun 1. Contacted hp, said it was physical damage and would charge me $300. No way am I going to pay 30% of what I paid for this laptop. Worst customer service I have ever received, and the worst QA by Hp as well as not to follow through to their customers and provide them a free repair since it is their fault. I will be going to small claims court, not going to take any of this. This makes me extremely furious. I had a $300 lenovo laptop that lasted me nearly 4 years and it was made of plastic. I've had this laptop for barely 3 months and have come up with this stupid issue. Will never buy HP product again.

I have fallen victim to the terrible craftmanship of this hp spectrex360 I bought in august 2015, less then a year and I got a hairline crack on the bottom of the bezel yesterday just from OPENING the laptop. This computer has been a nightmare, I thought for the 1200$ top of the line price tag this computer had I would be satisfied, but everything about HP has disappointed and been mediocre. I contacted them and got the same response as everybody else, and they refuse to document this as a defect and said that basically we are all full of it. 350 to repair it??? The computer is still under warranty too. I have already filed a complaint with the BBB, I SUGGEST EVERBODY ELSE DOES THE SAME, and I am also considering filing a small claim in court against these crooks. We need to organize and fight this robbery, so if anybody else wants justice then contact me, I have also joined the facebook page.
