probook 440s
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

display fades into white when screen is open at specific angles. This happens at a particular range of angles .

 

but when i move it away it becomes normal.

sadly that range is increasing day by day.

plz help me

I doubt we can help you - it sounds like the cable / wire(s) that control the display is perhaps having trouble (loose, crushed, worn, "something").

 

If that is the case, the "help" is to physically repair the part(s) that are responsible for the problem.

OR

If that is not the case, the fact that the display changes (fades) when you move it, still indicates some form of hardware failure.

 

Partial failure is, in some ways, more difficult to track down than a hard failure.  For example, if the disk in your computer fails, it is dead - no fun, but you know what is wrong.

 

I cannot find Probook 440s - well, that's not true, I found an old one on eBay for $75 USD.

I have not found it in the HP website for supported systems.

 

If you really have a "440s" model, it may not be worth fixing - but it sounds like it is time to replace it.

 

If this was a mis-type, then your machine might be one of the following:

If the machine is one of the supported models, you might be able to find parts to fix it if you wish to do so.
