I bought this laptop in early 2025.  Now i am facing the screen flickering issues very often. It flickers and then goes black, after some time it will flicker again where i could have a chance to shutdown.   i updated my drivers and restarted the device and checked everything which i could do. but my problem is not solved. @LAPTOP-K5J7TT8D, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Screen Flickering!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Revisit the HP Support website to ensure that you have the latest graphics drivers. Sometimes, drivers directly from the HP website can offer better stability than those from generic sources.

Use HP Support Assistant:

  • Install and use the HP Support Assistant to diagnose and update drivers. This tool can automatically find and install the latest drivers for your HP laptop.

Check Hardware Connections:

  • If possible, check the connections of the internal display cable. A loose connection can often cause flickering.

Boot in Safe Mode:

  • Restart your laptop in safe mode to see if the flickering persists. If it doesn't, it may suggest a software conflict or driver issue that needs to be addressed in normal mode.

Adjust Display Settings:

  • Sometimes, flickering can be reduced by changing the refresh rate of your screen. Go to your display settings and try a different refresh rate.

External Monitor:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the external monitor does not flicker, it might be an issue with the laptop screen itself.

Disable Hardware Acceleration:

  • In some applications, disabling hardware acceleration may resolve flickering issues. This option can typically be found in the settings of the respective application.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
