grainy computer CAMERA - unusable- straight out of the box brand new computer - and bad WIFI signal
01-20-2021 03:13 PM

Hi, I just bought a brand new HP Pavillion 15-cv1xxx computer with AMD Ryzen 7 3700U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.3 Ghz, RAM 16GB.
Cameras :HP IR Camera and HP Wide Vision FHD Camera (not sure why it shows two in the device manager)
1) I tried the camera for FOTOS (no internet connection) and as WEBCAM, and it is absolutely abysmal. It is so grainy and over exposed, you can hardly even use it for private calls, let alone anything business related.
The computer is straight out of the box. All drivers are up to date. All other apps work fine.
2) Additionally the WIFI reception on the computer is so much worse than my phone. I can do a zoom call on my phone real time with great image and my computer in the same room will be choppy, several second time delayed and terrible image.
Please help. I am not a very computer literate person with regards to messing around with systems stuff, so please go easy and simple with me on the tech talk.
Thank you so much.
