@VaneSaunders, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

A greenish screen on your HP laptop can be caused by several factors, including software issues, display settings, or hardware problems. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you identify and potentially resolve the problem:

Check Display Settings:

  • Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings".
  • Check the "Color calibration" and "Night light" settings to ensure they are not causing color distortion.

Adjust Graphics Properties:

  • Open Intel Graphics Control Panel (or your specific graphics card control panel).
  • Navigate to "Color" settings and reset all settings to default.

Update Display and Graphics Drivers:

  • Make sure you have installed the latest drivers for your display adapter. Visit HP's Support Page to download the latest drivers for your device.
  • You can also use Windows Update to check for any outstanding updates that might affect your graphics.

Perform a System Test:

  • Restart your laptop and press "F2" repeatedly to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI.
  • Select "Component Tests," then choose "Display" to run a test and identify any potential hardware issues.

Check Hardware Connections:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor using an HDMI or VGA cable.
  • If the external display shows correctly, the issue might be with your laptop's display panel or cable connection.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
