how can I tell if the number lock is on the laptop, my old hp has a light on when its on

How do you know when the number lock key is on?  My other laptop has a light on the key

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specification of your product HP Pavilion 15-Cs2021cI and found that this model doesn't have a light indicator. 

The simple way to know whether caps lock is on or off by just typing one character, then press numbers on num pad: If a character is typed in the field, then num lock is on.
