Hi @Erik551,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry to hear you're concerned about the potential for burn-in on your OLED screen. It's completely understandable to want to ensure your display stays in perfect condition. Let's dive in and figure this out together.

  • Could you clarify how long you typically leave the same image or static content on your screen?
  • Are you using any screen-saving features like auto-dimming, sleep mode, or screen savers to reduce the risk of burn-in?
  • Have you noticed any early signs of image retention or burn-in, such as faint shadows or outlines of previous content?
  • Could you elaborate more on your usage patterns, such as the types of content you display and for how long? This will help us provide more tailored advice to keep your OLED screen in top shape.

Meanwhile, let's try these steps.

  • Enable Screen-Saving Features: Make sure your system is set to dim the display or turn it off automatically after a period of inactivity (e.g., 5-10 minutes).
  • Use Dark Mode: Activate dark mode in your system settings, as it can reduce the intensity of static images, particularly for OLED screens.
  • Rotate Content: Regularly change the position of desktop icons, wallpaper, or any frequently displayed content to prevent static elements from remaining in the same spot for extended periods.
  • Adjust Brightness: Lower the screen brightness, especially when static content is displayed, as high brightness can accelerate burn-in.
  • Run Pixel Refresher (if available): Check if your system or OLED screen software includes a "Pixel Refresher" or similar feature to recalibrate the display and reduce burn-in risks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
