I wish to use my chromebook keyboard with an external monitor. I do NOT want the chromebook display screen to be used at all so I fold it all the way around and UNDER the keyboard. Now I have the display correctly on my external HP monitor (24f) but the keyboard does not work (it seems to think I am using it as a tablet - wrong!) I can't figure out how to get the chromebook keyboard to work while the display is folded under it.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to use the keyboard in tablet mode.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that there is no option to use the physical keyboard in the tablet mode and you need to use the onscreen keyboard and it is by design.

In your situation, I recommend you move/rotate the screen only till it stays in desktop mode and use the physical keyboard with the external monitor.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
