Hi, I have a hp 255 g8 notebook and want to connect a seconf monitor through usb. Will a simple usb 3.0 to hdmi adapter work? There seems to be alot of confusion around driver updates and stuff.

unfortunately no  - USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 (data transfer only)
