hp omen 15-dc0014nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a laptop hp omen 15-dc0014nc that I have connected to the external monitor by HDMi and when I have checked which graphics card it is connected to, I have found, that the external monitor, that I want to use as a main monitor is connected to the Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 and not the the NVIDA GeForce GTX 1050.

I guess that the HDMi won't work with the desired NVIDIA card, so what can I do to connect the main monitor to the dedicated graphic card?

Thanks for provided help.

@Petercy

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel. ...
  2. Select Manage 3D Settings under 3D Settings.
  3. Click on the Program Settings tab and select the program you want to choose a graphics card for from the drop-down list.

 Generally, laptops with an Nvidia card automatically switches over to the Nvidia GPU when it is necessary, Its system managed.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
