hp probook 640 g2 apparently has no camera  There appears to be a camera on the top of the display, however, it also appears as though there is a cover on the lens.  In addition, there is no camera listed anywhere in devices so that I cannot delete the software and reinstall.

Were these laptops manufactured without cameras?

That is an option that means some machines do have and some machines do NOT have. Its specs
