@Shoaib17, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're noticing keyboard key imprints appearing on your HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-e2000 series screen, and I’ll be happy to help you with this.

The issue you're experiencing is commonly due to physical pressure between the keyboard and screen when the laptop lid is closed. Over time, natural oil from fingers, dust, or minor flex in the chassis can cause the keyboard outline or marks to transfer onto the display, especially if the lid is pressed tightly during storage or transport.

Steps to Address and Prevent the Issue:

Clean the Screen Safely

Use a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with a screen-safe cleaner to gently wipe the marks off the display. Avoid using alcohol or household cleaners as they can damage the anti-glare or protective coating.

  1. Power off your laptop and unplug it.
  2. Use a microfiber cloth slightly dampened with a screen-safe cleaner.
  3. Gently wipe the screen in circular motions. Avoid pressing hard to prevent further damage.

Prevent Future Imprints

To avoid this issue recurring:

  • Use a keyboard cover or cloth liner (like a microfiber sheet) between the keyboard and screen when closing the lid.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on the laptop lid.
  • Ensure that your laptop is stored in a padded bag or sleeve during travel.
  • Regularly clean the keyboard to reduce dust and oil buildup.

If the marks don’t go away after cleaning, they may be etchings or pressure marks on the screen. In that case, please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
