Troubleshooting White Spots on HP Laptop Screen

White spots on your HP Victus 15 laptop screen can be caused by a few different factors, such as pressure on the display, dead pixels, or an uneven backlight. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

  1. Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix the display issues. Turn off your laptop, wait for a few seconds and then turn it back on.

  2. Check for External Pressure: Ensure that there is no pressure being applied to your laptop screen. Remove any items placed on the laptop or any pressure applied, such as finger pressing on the screen.

  3. Run a Pixel Test:

    • You can use an online pixel test tool to check for dead or stuck pixels. These tools rapidly cycle colors to try to reset any stuck pixels.
    • Search online for "free dead pixel test" and follow the instructions provided by the tool.
  4. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager:

    • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
    • Expand the "Display adapters" section.
    • Right-click on your graphics card and select "Update driver".
  5. Adjust Screen Brightness: Sometimes adjusting the brightness setting can help minimize the appearance of the spots.

  6. Physical Inspection: Check if there might be any damage or issue with the screen physically. If it's a new laptop, it might be worthwhile to contact HP support for a warranty claim.

  7. Contact HP Support: If the issue persists, it might be a hardware problem that requires professional assistance. Contact HP Support for further assistance or visit an HP authorized service center.

If you are under warranty, it may also be beneficial to reach out to HP’s customer support for further assistance or a possible replacement. You can find contact details on the HP Support website.

If the issue persists or you notice additional problems, it would be advisable to reach out directly to HP customer support or visit an authorized service center for further help.
