If your HP Victus laptop with an RTX 3050 Ti GPU isn't detecting the GPU in Device Manager, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

 

Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware detection issues.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Go to the NVIDIA website and download the latest drivers for your RTX 3050 Ti.
  • Install the drivers and restart your laptop.

Update Windows:

  • Ensure your Windows is up to date by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Check BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing a key like F2, F10, or Delete during startup).
  • Look for settings related to the GPU and ensure that the discrete GPU is enabled.

Reinstall Graphics Drivers:

  • Uninstall the current graphics drivers via Device Manager.
  • Right-click on your computer's name at the top of Device Manager and select Scan for hardware changes to let Windows reinstall the drivers.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure that the GPU is properly seated in its slot (if it's removable).
  • Check for any visible damage or loose connections.

Power Settings:

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options.
