Hi @Bhargavi2,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with a black screen on an HP Laptop PC 15s-Fq2000 can be caused by several issues. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Power and Battery:

  • Ensure the laptop is connected to a power source and the charger is functioning properly.
  • If the laptop has a removable battery, try removing it and then connecting the charger to power on the laptop without the battery.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect all external devices (USBs, external monitors, etc.).
  • Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds to force a shutdown.
  • Release the power button, then try turning on the laptop again.

Check the Display:

  • Try connecting an external monitor or TV to your laptop. If the external display works, the issue might be with your laptop's internal display or connections.
  • If the external display also shows a black screen, the problem might be with the internal hardware.

Inspect for Hardware Issues: HP PCs - Testing for hardware failures

  • Ensure all internal components (like RAM and hard drive) are properly seated. If you’re comfortable opening your laptop, you can check these connections.

Check for BIOS Issues:

  • If you hear any beeps or see LED flashes, note their pattern as it might indicate specific hardware errors.
  • Try accessing BIOS/UEFI by pressing the BIOS key (often F2, F10, Esc, or Del) during startup. If you can access BIOS, it might suggest an issue with the operating system.

Try a Different Power Adapter:

  • If you have another compatible power adapter, try using it to see if the issue is related to the original adapter.

Refer to this document:  HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D119AV) User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
