HP Pavilion 15-cc593nd
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

A month ago I bought the HP Pavilion 15-cc593nd. Until now I don't have any problems with the Laptop, but I have one question: With the f5 button I can swtich on the backlight of the keypad. Nevertless I see that the light is not on in the back of my space button. I would like to know if this is normal , because I can not remember that it worked in the beginning.

So my question is agian, is it normal that there is no backlight at my spacebutton?

I hope to hear soon.

Hey there! @renskehl, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand the backlight is not functioning on the spacebar key on your laptop.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes your PC?

Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.

As you mentioned the backlight is not functioning on the spacebar key on your laptop.

I have checked the specifications of your laptop and there is no backlight near the spacebar key.

In some other models, we do have the backlight near the spacebar key.

As the space bar is a very big key it does not require a backlight and you can find it by touching your fingers. So there is no backlight near the spacebar key.

However, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling keyboard drivers and check if it helps.

In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
Click View and select Show Hidden Devices.
Click the arrow next to Keyboards, right-click the keyboard device name, then select Uninstall to remove the device from Windows.
Continue removing device names in the Keyboards category until all device names have been uninstalled.
Restart the notebook. Right-click Start (), select Shut down or sign out, then select Restart.
Wait for the computer to restart and open Windows.

Also, refer this article to further troubleshoot keyboard issues with your PC.
