HP Spectre x360 Laptop - 15-eb0043dx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

My laptop's display was totally fine until last month. I didn't use it for 2 weeks, but it was fully charged and shut down. Then I turned it on a week ago and I noticed some horizontal and vertical lines all over the screen. I had restarted the laptop and it was fine then I had shut it down after using it for a few hours. Then again, after a week i.e., last night, I've turned it on, and the issue has started a few minutes after I started using it. Whenever I restart the laptop, the screen turns normal but after a few minutes, this issue starts showing up and doesn't go away until I turn it off. however, those lines are appreciated only on a dark background. I also notice slight flickering of the display sometimes. What is the solution for this?

Hello @Spurthy

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

(1) Double check with external monitor connected via vga/hdmi cable. Same flickering on external monitor ?

Shutdown notebook

- Power off external monitor

- Connect vga/hdmi cable

- Power on external monitor

- Power on notebook

(2If it still fails continue with (3)

(3) Power off notebook (press and hold <power> button until notebook switches off )

(4Disconnect charger

(5Press and hold <power> button for 30 seconds

(6Connect charger

(7) Please report your results
