Hi, there. New memeber. I have a laptop in need of a lcd screen. I took it apart and the exact part number is lp173wd1 (TL)(G2). I am learning from eBay auctions lp173wd1 (TL)(G2) screen is led 17.3 glossy bottom left connector 40 pin, but do you know any other screen part numbers that will fit and work? I would like to consider any compatible screens regardless the difference in resolution or screen texture. Glossy or matte is not so much important. A screen I am considering is Dell Vostro 3700 17.3" Matte LP173WD1 (TL)(B2) HD+ 84FGP 084FGP

I found similar laptops models and wonder if their screen replacements will fit and connect fine.

@keenmike  I'm afraid you cannot replace a screen from one device to another as that is not recommended or supported by HP, the same could cause compatibility issues with other devices designed to work without the full HD (if that's how the device was built for you).

For details on parts tested and approved to work specifically for your device: click here & visit page. 65 Chapter 6 Removal and replacement procedures for Authorized Service Provider parts (example in image below)

However, you may do so, at your own discretion, and to be on a safer side, please check with a local tech before making any investments.
