Hi @Abhi013,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I know how disruptive it feels when your laptop freezes, especially if you’re in the middle of something important. Freezing is common, and with these steps, we can usually get things running smoothly again.
Force Restart
Hold down the power button for about 10–15 seconds until the laptop shuts off.
Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to restart.
Update Drivers & Windows
- Press Win + X → Device Manager.
- Update your graphics driver and chipset driver.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update and install all pending updates.
Run Hardware Diagnostics
- Restart your laptop → press Esc repeatedly → choose F2 System Diagnostics.
- Run a System Test to check memory and hard drive health.
Scan for Malware
- Use Windows Security or another trusted antivirus to run a full scan.
I hope this helps. Please revert with the test results.
