Hi @catkat1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 Laptop is showing "No cameras are attached" and there’s no camera listed in Device Manager, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Physical Connections

  • Keyboard Shortcut: Sometimes, the camera can be disabled via a keyboard shortcut (often Fn + a function key like F10 or F2). Check your keyboard for a camera icon.

2. Update Windows

  • Ensure your operating system is up to date:
    1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    2. Check for updates and install any that are available.

3. Show Hidden Devices in Device Manager

  1. Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it.
  2. Click on View in the top menu and select Show hidden devices.
  3. Check if the camera appears under Imaging devices or Sound, video, and game controllers.

4. Install Drivers Manually

HP Support Website:

  • Go to the HP Support website.
  • Enter your laptop model (HP Pavilion x360 14-ek0) and go to the drivers section.
  • Download and install the latest camera drivers.

Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Device Manager window and select Scan for hardware changes. This can sometimes prompt Windows to find the camera.

5. Run Hardware Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  2. Scroll down and select Additional troubleshooters.
  3. Find and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

6. Reset Camera App

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
  2. Find the Camera app and click on it.
  3. Select Advanced options and then choose Reset.

7. Check BIOS Settings

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Look for a setting related to the camera and ensure it's enabled.
  3. Save changes and exit.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
