Hi @catkat1
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion x360 2-in-1 Laptop is showing "No cameras are attached" and there’s no camera listed in Device Manager, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Physical Connections
- Keyboard Shortcut: Sometimes, the camera can be disabled via a keyboard shortcut (often Fn + a function key like F10 or F2). Check your keyboard for a camera icon.
2. Update Windows
- Ensure your operating system is up to date:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any that are available.
3. Show Hidden Devices in Device Manager
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting it.
- Click on View in the top menu and select Show hidden devices.
- Check if the camera appears under Imaging devices or Sound, video, and game controllers.
4. Install Drivers Manually
HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop model (HP Pavilion x360 14-ek0) and go to the drivers section.
- Download and install the latest camera drivers.
Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Device Manager window and select Scan for hardware changes. This can sometimes prompt Windows to find the camera.
5. Run Hardware Troubleshooter
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Scroll down and select Additional troubleshooters.
- Find and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
6. Reset Camera App
- Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
- Find the Camera app and click on it.
- Select Advanced options and then choose Reset.
7. Check BIOS Settings
- Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
- Look for a setting related to the camera and ensure it's enabled.
- Save changes and exit.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
