HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Since a few months my touchscreen does not work. The screen itself works but not the touch function. (it is a HP envy x360 2 in 1 laptop, running windows 11, 24H@2version).  I ran an UEFI test regarding the touch pointer and the touch screen is 100% working. In the device manager I can't find the HID-compliant-touch screen item. I use windows 11, 24H2 version. When  I try to find the driver software via HP  : HP does not provide the 24H2 possibility. Question: where can I find the driver software for touchscreen for a HP laptop with windows 11 24H2 version?

Install Drivers from HP’s Official Site

Since HP doesn't provide 24H2 drivers, you can try older Windows 11 drivers:

  1. Go to HP's Driver Page:
    HP Envy x360 13-bf0000 Drivers
  2. Choose Windows 11 (22H2) as your OS.
  3. Download and install the Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver.
  4. Restart your laptop.

If this doesn't work, try Step 4.

Force Windows to Detect the Touchscreen

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Click on "Action" > Scan for hardware changes.
  3. If no touchscreen appears, restart and check again.

If the issue persists, proceed to Step 5.

Restore BIOS Defaults

  1. Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS.
  2. Go to Advanced Settings > Built-in Device Options.
  3. Ensure Touchscreen is enabled.
  4. Select Restore Defaults and save changes.
  5. Restart your laptop.

Use Generic Windows Touchscreen Drivers

If nothing works, you can install generic Microsoft touchscreen drivers:

  1. Go to Device Manager.
  2. Click Add legacy hardware (under Action).
  3. Select Install hardware manually.
  4. Find Human Interface Devices > HID-compliant touch screen.
  5. Install it and restart your laptop.

Hi @Eduard16,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding laptops touchscreen!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like your HP Envy x360 touchscreen is not working, and the HID-compliant touch screen driver is missing in Device Manager. Since the UEFI test confirmed that the hardware is fine, this is likely a driver/software issue. Here's how to fix it:

Re-enable Hidden Drivers in Device Manager

Sometimes, Windows hides the HID-compliant touchscreen driver.

  1. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Click on View > Show hidden devices.
  3. Expand Human Interface Devices.
  4. Look for HID-compliant touch screen.
    • If you find it, right-click and Enable it.
    • If you don’t see it, move to the next step.

Reinstall the Touchscreen Driver

Since the driver is missing, reinstall it manually.

Install via Windows Update

  1. Press Win + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to Windows Update > Check for updates.
  3. Install any available updates.
  4. Restart your laptop and check if touch is working.

Manually Install the Touchscreen Driver

  1. Open Device Manager.
  2. Expand Human Interface Devices.Right-click on any entry labeled HID-compliant device and select Update driver.
  3. Choose Search automatically for drivers.
  4. If no drivers are found, select Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list.
  5. Select HID-compliant touch screen, then install it.
