WMV is a Windows media file.  Either convert the file to one the media player supports or install VLC for Chromebooks.

I 2nd the OldMan's suggestion. 

 

VLC is your friend. 

 

Now, it may also be possible to use MxPlayer since we now have Android support. I believe it may have WMV codec support, but don't 100% quote me on that.
