Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Most likely, since you have a laptop, the problem is that there are no HP Win10 video drivers available and, in that case, MS has substituted very primitive generic video drivers.
I need the detailed product number of your PC to check for drivers: Finding Your HP Product Model Number | HP® Customer Support
We can proceed once you provide the information.
Thanks

Hi:
Manually install the Vista driver from your notebook's support page as follows...
Download and run this driver...you will most likely get an unsupported operating system error.
This package provides the graphics/video driver and user interface for the NVIDIA MCP67M graphics in the supported notebook models and operating systems. This driver enables video display and sets up a user interface for setting various display properties.
File name: sp37860.exe
Close out of any error windows.
Go to the device manager, click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category.
Click on the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder you created when you ran the driver.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp37860.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Then restart the PC.

prior to the intallation of the graphic drivers the windows command was working well, but now I can literally not issue any command using the windows command . In another unrelated issue my sound stops working after installing some updates but the drivers seems to be working fine.
