Hi @VinayaS,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing a popping sound and hinge issue with your HP laptop, it may be due to several reasons. Here are a few possible solutions you can try.

  • Tighten the screws: The popping sound and hinge issue may be caused by loose screws. Try tightening the screws around the hinge area with a small screwdriver.
  • Lubricate the hinge: If the hinge is stiff, it may be causing the popping sound. Try lubricating the hinge with a small amount of silicone spray or oil.
  • Check for physical damage: If the hinge is damaged, it may need to be replaced. Inspect the hinge area for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or dents.

It is important to address hinge issues as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
