When I plugged in the hdmi cord to my tv and laptop a few days ago my screen extended over to the tv, today I went to connect them and my laptop is not detecting the tv, I have tried several different things. I even plugged in a different brand laptop and it worked perfectly fine, but my hp notebook laptop will not work but it did a couple days ago

I reviewed your post and I understand that the TV is not getting detected on the laptop when connected via HDMI.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
What is the product number of your computer?
Meanwhile, I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
