Product: HP Spectre x360 - 13-ae013dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I am attempting to connect an LG Ultrawide monitor to my HP Spectre x360 - 13-ae013dx. This has worked before with no issues.

 

However, now the laptop will not display on any external monitor (I've tried two). The machine detects that an external monitor is attached (via USB-C to HDMI adapter) and it displays the monitor name, however in Display Settings, when I select the external monitor I see the message, "Display 2 isn't active."

 

These are the steps that I've tried after reading multiple posts:

1. Reinstalled BIOS

2. Reinstalled driver for graphics adapter

3. Checked HP support for any other driver updates and installed all available updates

4. Checked Microsoft Windows support for driver updates and installed all available updates

4. I've checked the USB-C to HDMI adapter and cable with another computer and confirmed that both the adapter and HDMI cable are working, the LG Ultrawide monitor works too. 

 

Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thanks!
