HP Spectre x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The touchpad on my "HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0000no" randomly stops working. The problems with it is that you sometimes have to push hard on the touchpad for it to register your click, the mousepointer moves around on it's own and sometimes it barely works at all. All the problems disappear for a while when I restart the computer and the comes back.

The latest drivers for the touchpad is installed, I tried the component test for the touchpad with no problems, and I uninstalled the mouse drivers from device manager and restared the computer. Using a external bluetooth mouse comes with some problems too.

I have the latest updates according to Windows (v1809) and the latest updates on "HP support assistant". There where a few updates on "HP support assistant" I couldn't install because they where only compatible on Windows version1803, but they didn't have anything to do with the touchpad I believe.

Before I received your answer I did a complete reset on the computer and that didn't help either.

I also tried to use a USB mouse and that worked fine.

The name on the driver I have is "synaptics HID touchpad" as you can se below and I've tried to update the driver as well, but It says that the lastest driver is already installed.

It turned out to be a hardware issue, so I had to send the computer to a HP service workshop for them to fix the broken parts. The computer is no back and the it works.
