I have a LM837AV model g6t-1a00 laptop with a broken screen. I replaced it with a screen from another exact laptop that had other issues and the screen still is not working. The laptop works fine on an external monitor. I tried in screen setting to recognize another screen and it says there is none yet if you shine a light on the computer screen you can see the picture that is displaying on the external monitor. What am I doing wrong or missing?

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
