Troubleshooting black screen issues on HP Notebooks: Click here to view the instructions!

HP Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Having an issue with the display in 15-ba026ca. The right half of the screen will disappear. If I press on the lower left area of the front bezel I can make the pic come back. I have some folded up paper stuck between the bottom of the screen and the bezel. It keeps pressure in the area where the bad connection is but the picture still messes up from time to time.

At first it seemed that the issue occurred when moving the lid, so I thought it was the cable going from the motherboard to the display, I replaced it, it wasn't the cable.
The display panel has a 30 pin connector and the number on it is NT156WHM-N32. I was wondering if a display with the number NT156WHM-N32 V8.0 is interchangeable? The reason I ask is that I see screen sellers online listing multiple version numbers for sale.

Will any 15.6 HD thin display with 30 pins work in the laptop?

Back to answer my own question. A used V8.0 of the screen popped up for sale. It worked perfectly.
