My screen in flickering from the starting of this month. It solves for sometimes and started again. I have tried all possible software troubleshoot by contacting the Microsoft Tech support. but the flickering does not stop. So, they suggest me that it should be a hardware problem and I should contact HP Support

Hi @Lonypawan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

As I understand your facing display flickering issue which might have caused due to the outdated or corrupt display drivers, issues with incompatible or faulty hardware like a loose cable or a failing screen, and software conflicts from incompatible applications.

Kindly follow the below steps to isolate and fix the issue.

1. Check in BIOS

  • Restart → press F10 (or Esc → F10)
  • Observe screen in BIOS
  • If flickering occurs → hardware issue
  • If stable → could be driver/software issue

2. Tilt/Move the Screen

  • Gently adjust the hinge while laptop is on
  • Flicker that changes with screen movement → display cable issue

3. Connect an External Monitor

  • Connect via HDMI or USB-C
  • External monitor stable → laptop display/cable problem
  • External monitor flickers → GPU or motherboard problem

  1. Update Drivers and BIOS using the link below:
       https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
  • Update graphics drivers (Intel/AMD/NVIDIA)
  • Update BIOS from HP Support for your model

    I hope this helps.
