@Victusbyvisma, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Let's help you turn off the screen saver and fix the brightness dimming issue while watching videos on your Victus by HP 15-fb0000 running Windows 11.

Disable Screen Saver

  1. Press Windows + S and type "Screen Saver".
  2. Click on "Change screen saver".
  3. In the Screen Saver Settings window:
    • Set Screen saver to None.
    • Click Apply and then OK.

Prevent Brightness from Dimming During Video Playback

Windows 11 may automatically adjust brightness due to power settings or adaptive brightness. Here's how to fix it:

Option A: Disable Adaptive Brightness

  1. Press Windows + X → select Power Options.
  2. Click "Additional power settings" on the right.
  3. Next to your selected plan, click "Change plan settings".
  4. Click "Change advanced power settings".
  5. Expand DisplayEnable adaptive brightness.
  6. Set both On battery and Plugged in to Off.
  7. Click Apply and OK.

Option B: Disable Auto Brightness via Settings

  1. Go to SettingsSystemDisplay.
  2. Scroll down and click "Brightness".
  3. Turn off the toggle for "Change brightness automatically when lighting changes"

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
