Hi @KevinCostner,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Stuck pixels can be frustrating, especially on a gaming laptop like your HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Verify if It's Stuck or Dead Pixels
- Stuck Pixel: Displays a constant color (e.g., red, green, blue).
- Dead Pixel: Completely black and unresponsive.
If the pixel changes color (e.g., on a white background), it's likely stuck and may be fixed with the methods below.
Try Pixel-Repairing Tools
- Use online tools or apps like JScreenFix to refresh the stuck pixel. These tools flash colors rapidly over the affected area to "unstick" the pixel.
- Let the tool run for 10–20 minutes, and see if it resolves the issue.
Apply Pressure Method (Use Caution!)
- Turn off your laptop.
- Use a soft cloth and gently press on the stuck pixel area without applying too much force.
- While pressing, turn the laptop on.
- Release pressure to see if the stuck pixel is gone.
Heat or Cold Method
- Gently warm the area with a soft cloth for a few seconds or cool it using a cold compress (wrapped in a cloth).
- Avoid applying extreme heat or cold directly to the screen to prevent damage.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
