My laptop suddenly shut down while I was playing a game, with the screen and keyboard turning off but the fan still running. Then, it completely powered off and now it won't turn back on, even when I press the power button.

Let it cool off for an hour then try a hard reset

Turn off the computer - hold power button down for 30 full seconds then release. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings. Press F10 to Save and Exit.

Consider getting a laptop cooler

You should always start a game with a full charge on the battery. Laptops can overheat if they have to charge the battery at the same time they are being heavily used.
