HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R4AV)

Dumb question but i am so frustrated lol. i understand you can not turn the pc on while in tablet mode from fully off. I watched all the videos. My questions is, everything i saw you can turn it in in tablet mode from a 45 degree angle and put back into tablet mode. i have been trying for a year. Mine only turns on from tablet mode completely open flat. No 45 degree angle. i tried to look in settings and alas where tablet mode in settings should be is not there for me.....why idk and i am so upset. if i can have it turn on at a 45 degree angle i'd be all set bc it's always in tent mode. I don't want to keep having to unfold it flat to turn on and put back into the tent position anymore. Any help is appreciated ty!!!!

Hi @volle17,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're facing difficulties with your HP ENVY x360 2-in-1 laptop. The specific behavior you're describing might be due to hardware or software settings, and it can vary depending on the model and configuration. Here are a few things you can try to potentially resolve the issue.

Check for Updates: Make sure your operating system and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, updating your laptop's firmware or drivers can resolve issues like this. You can do this through the Windows Update tool and by visiting the HP website for driver updates specific to your model.

Tablet Mode Settings: In Windows 10 and later versions, you can customize how the laptop behaves in tablet mode. To access these settings, follow these steps:

  • Click on the Start button and go to Settings (the gear-shaped icon).
  • Click on "System."
  • In the left sidebar, select "Tablet."
  • Check the options listed under "When I sign in," and ensure that "Don't ask me and always switch" is selected for tablet mode.

User Manual: Consult the user manual for your laptop model. It may provide instructions on how to set up and configure the 2-in-1 functionality, including turning it on from different positions.

If you can't find a solution through these methods, it may be a limitation of your specific laptop model's design. In this case, you may need to continue using it as you have been, turning it on when it's in a fully flat position.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
