I contacted help support and then received a call back.He said he could fix the problem if I buy a firewall programme.

Is this a scam.

Yes, that definitely would be a scam.

 

HP does not post phone numbers on the internet.

Thanks for the reply.I find it strange that it was through HP virtual assist that they told me that someone would contact me in 5 mins.He then took me through remote and highlighted"all these Trojans "including foreign ones,on my laptop.

he then tried to sell me firewall...lucky escape I think.I have changed my internet banking password just in case.
