If your TouchPad's double-tap function is not working, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

1. Turn Off and On the TouchPad

  1. Double-tap the upper left corner of the TouchPad to turn it off.
  2. Repeat to turn it back on.

2. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the notebook.
  2. Disconnect any external devices and remove from any docking station.
  3. Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery.
  4. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to drain any electrical charge.
  5. Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.
  6. Turn on the notebook and start Windows Normally.

3. Update the TouchPad Driver

  1. Go to HP Support.
  2. Click on 'Software and Drivers'.
  3. Enter your notebook model number and let HP detect your product.
  4. Choose your operating system from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click on 'Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices'.
  6. Download and install the latest TouchPad driver.

4. Restore the Notebook to a Previous Configuration

  1. Go to the 'Settings' panel by typing 'Settings' in the search bar.
  2. Click on 'Update & security' and then 'Check for updates'.
  3. Windows Update will display and install available updates automatically.
  4. Restart your notebook.

Hope this helps!
