HP Recommended
HP Pavilion 15-p051sr Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

yesterday there was a windows update. and today I faced two problems: 1) displaying the laptop image on the monitor, although before updating windows the image was displayed (I use an HDMI / DVI cable). 2) could not regulate the brightness of the laptop screen. wrote in support of windows. they reinstalled for me all the drivers that they considered necessary for the update. the problem with the brightness control was solved. but the image is not displayed on the second screen. I was told in windows support that I needed a new driver (the intel (r) graphics family 2015,2016,2018 drivers for this laptop were installed and tested), for this write in hp support (I will write to the forum)

I checked the updates through hp support assistant, no updates were found in it (photo). after I downloaded a new version of the bios from the hp website, installed it, now I have a version from 2018 (photo), previously there was a version from 2014. but the image is still not displayed on the second screen(

1) checked. it says no updates. but in the GRAPHICS section, I saw a footnote (circled it in a red circle). it says that it is possible to install another driver, but I have already tested all possible graphics drivers (I installed the drivers from the hp website and through the device manager).

Hi@makc14,

We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
