Hi @Scrat24,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
I understand that you are having issues with the touchscreen.
When your HP ENVY X360 13.3 Inch 2-In-1 Laptop PC 13-Bf0000 touchscreen stops working and the touchscreen driver seems to have disappeared, it can be quite frustrating. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:
1. Check Device Manager
First, let's see if the touchscreen device is still listed in Device Manager.
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
- Look for Human Interface Devices and expand it.
- Check for HID-compliant touch screen. If it’s missing, follow the next steps.
2. Show Hidden Devices in Device Manager
Sometimes, the device might be hidden.
- In Device Manager, click on the View menu and select Show hidden devices.
- Check again under Human Interface Devices for HID-compliant touch screen.
3. Update or Reinstall Drivers
If the driver is present but not working correctly, you might need to update or reinstall it.
- Right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
If updating doesn’t work, try reinstalling:
- Right-click on HID-compliant touch screen and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.
4. Use Windows Update
Windows Update can sometimes find and install the missing drivers.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.
5. Download Drivers from HP Support
If Windows Update doesn’t find the driver, you can manually download it from the HP website.
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your laptop model (HP ENVY X360 13-Bf0000).
- Download and install the latest drivers for your touchscreen.
Kindly check the next set of steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

Hi @Scrat24,
Find the next set of steps below.
6. Run Windows Troubleshooter
Windows has built-in troubleshooters that can help fix common issues.
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Additional troubleshooters.
- Run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
7. BIOS Settings
Ensure that the touchscreen is enabled in the BIOS.
- Restart your laptop and press F10 (or the appropriate key for your laptop) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup.
- Look for touchscreen-related settings and ensure they are enabled.
- Save changes and exit the BIOS.
8. Reset Touchscreen Calibration
Sometimes, resetting the touchscreen calibration can help.
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
- In the Display tab, click on Reset.
9. System Restore
If the touchscreen stopped working after a recent update or installation, performing a system restore might help.
- Press Windows + S and type System Restore.
- Select Create a restore point, then System Restore.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system to a previous state.
10. Check for Hardware Issues
If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with the touchscreen. Contact phone support for service options.
