Hi @Bhurta, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the touchpad on your HP Notebook - 15-da0327tu is not working, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Enable Touchpad
- Press Fn + F7 (or the key with a touchpad icon) to enable/disable the touchpad.
- Check if the touchpad is disabled in Windows Settings:
- Press Win + I to open Settings.
- Go to Devices > Touchpad.
- Ensure the Touchpad toggle is turned ON.
Check Device Manager
- Press Win + X, then click Device Manager.
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
- Look for Synaptics/ELAN Touchpad.
- If you see a yellow triangle, right-click and select Update driver.
- If the touchpad is missing, go to View > Show hidden devices and check again.
Update or Reinstall Touchpad Driver
- Download and install the latest Touchpad drivers from the HP Support Website.
- Alternatively, uninstall the driver:
- In Device Manager, right-click Touchpad driver.
- Select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop (Windows will reinstall the driver automatically).
Check BIOS Settings
- Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS.
- Look for Advanced or Configuration settings.
- Ensure Internal Pointing Device is Enabled.
- Save and exit.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
- Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect power and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
