Hi @lpcb,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand that after updating your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0001la to Windows 11, the touchpad scrolling functionality stopped working, and the touchpad driver no longer appears in your device manager, preventing you from enabling or disabling it.

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below to reinstall the correct touchpad driver:

  1. Download the Latest Touchpad Driver
Visit the official HP driver page for your laptop model:
HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0001la Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

  2. Locate and Download the Touchpad Driver
On the driver page, look for the latest "Synaptics Touchpad Driver" or "Precision Touchpad Driver" compatible with Windows 11 and download the installer.

  3. Install the Driver
    • Run the downloaded driver installation file and follow the on-screen instructions.
    • Restart your laptop after installation is complete.

  4. Verify Touchpad Functionality
    • After rebooting, check if the touchpad is working and scrolling is restored.
    • To confirm the driver is installed, open Device Manager (press Windows + X, then select Device Manager) and look under "Mice and other pointing devices" for the touchpad entry.

  5. Enable Touchpad via Settings
    • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Touchpad and ensure the touchpad is enabled.
    • Also, verify that scrolling settings are configured as desired.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
