Chrome OS

just took new chromebook 2 in 1 out of the box yesterday. Touch screen doesn't work. There's nothing in the settings that I could find that refers to a touchscreen at all. It's as if the Chrome OS doesn't think it's a touchscreen. But this is a 2 in 1 and I verified that it is supposed to have a touchscreen. I tried the factory reset suggested in some forums and it did not work. Am I missing something?

@Paulb0115 If your touchscreen isn't working, try these steps in the recommended order, even if you've tried any of these steps before:

And Test after each step to see whether your touchscreen works.

  1. Wipe off any dust or dirt on your touchscreen.
  2. Reset your Chromebook hardware.
  3. Reset your Chromebook to factory settings.
